Perfect Potluck Picnic
at Mountain Lake Park

A wonderful pre-summer evening was shared by current and new members. Dining under the Michael P. Sweeton Pavilion, we were completely taken by the idyllic setting, overlooking the lake and surrounding greenery. All were treated to a sampling of many tasty offerings made from mostly local produce, including: mixed salads, hot and cold dishes of summer squash, kale, tomatoes, homemade pizza, chicken and egg salads, charcuterie plates, banana bread, fresh cherries and—now a staple at SW events—a selection of Noble Pies. ...And nearly zero waste!

Special Thanks

Our thanks to the team of volunteers who assisted in pulling invasive plants from a section of Mountain Lake Park. Led by the ongoing efforts of Sally Greco and the Pollinator Pathway committee, an area adjacent to the pickleball courts is being slowly transformed with native plantings — and rid of invasive weeds. We invite all community members to visit and see the fruits of many hours of labor. Thank you also to Samantha Walter, Recreation Director, for access to the Pavilion. And special thanks to Dave Erfer for capturing the evening!
