2008 Conference – Plan C: Individual and Community Survival Strategies for the Energy Crisis
October 31-November 2, 2008, Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan.This year our annual conference is a cooperative effort with the Upland Hills Ecological Awareness Center, of Oxford, Michigan, just north of Detroit. Sat Junn 7, 2008: Orange County Earth and Water Festival. The festival is bringing together over 75 local green vendors and exhibitors, Hybrids including a hydrogen car, a farmers market, day long environmental speakers, a tree planting ceremony, a Youth Village with loads of educational activities and crafts, a Snake and Reptile Show, African Drumming, music by Gaiawolf and the Arm of the Sea will perform “Turtle Island Medicine Show”. Sponsors will be giving out 500 Canvass Shopping Bags and 1000 Norway Spruce seedlings to plant at home. In the food area, compostable plates and cups will be used by participants, recycled properly and disposed of at a local municipal composting facility.
